The ability to adapt to different environments in a dynamic and connected world: Yape continues to play a leading role in showing the way forward for deliveries in cities, airports and residential complexes
Rilispedia.com – Yape is back, and playing a leading role at the CES, the world’s most important event dedicated to consumer technology, being held from the 7th to the 10th of January in Las Vegas. Its successes in Japan with Japan Post and at Frankfurt airport have placed the product, created in the Enterprises Factory e-Novia, on the world stage, a fact which is further confirmed by its appearance at the American exhibition. Yape is on display in the Robotics and Artificial Intelligence area to showcase its new functionalities and mechanical upgrades which allow this ground-based drone, winner of the German Design Award for the most advanced last-mile delivery system, to integrate with its surrounding environment as easily as it integrates with connected mobility. This is demonstrated by the multimodal delivery system presented by Measy, the cargo bike from e-Novia.
Yape is providing more and more proof that it is the answer to the need for technological innovation in its field: it can make deliveries in urban environments and indoor spaces, and, thanks to its artificial intelligence, can do so in total autonomy. Yape has returned to CES with several new innovations. At the 2020 edition of the world’s biggest technology and innovation exhibition, Yape is presenting the new functionalities that allow it to move dynamically and safely in different environments. Its continuous adaptation to technological evolution allows it to orient itself in complex environments. As well as the highly innovative content, the originality of Yape’s design has been confirmed by two prestigious awards won in the past year: the German Design Award in the Utility Vehicles category and the 2019 ADI Design Index award, thanks to which Yape will be able to compete for the ‘Compasso d’Oro’. In the meantime, after its first deployments in Cremona, Milan and Fukushima, Yape is carrying out testing for 5G in Italy in partnership with Vodafone, Politecnico di Milano, Esselunga and Poste Italiane. In addition, it has announced a series of commercial collaborations in Europe and the United States with world-leading companies in the food delivery, retails sales and e-commerce sectors to carry out deliveries with zero emissions and at low cost.
